Saddleback Lake

I was always curious about this lake as I drove past its turn off many times. Recent reports of foliage and the mention of a water taxi that transports hikers and anglers across the lake to the 20 Lakes Basin region prompted me to check it out. The 2-mile road to the lake is mostly dirt but drivable. There were a couple of short paved road sections. The view of surrounding mountains was quite pretty especially when dusted with snow. There were a few campgrounds that were closed when I got there, but looked like good camping destinations. Even though the general store was closed, there were a handful of people fishing from the shore.
